Debbie Motta R.N. Vice President and Co- founder of Clinics of Hope

Debbie was instrumental in the founding of Clinics of Hope. Her first trip to Togo was
in September 2003.  Prior to 2003 all clinic work in Togo was done on an as needed
basis. We traveled from village to village and set up clinic for a day or two.

In September 2003 Debbie Motta joined our clinic team. She was instantly touched
by the great need of simple medical care and also the great opportunity to impact
people’s lives. It was on this trip also that two village chiefs asked us to set up
permanent clinics in their village. This helped to confirm her desire to see more
permanent clinics set up.

Upon returning to the U.S. Debbie and her husband Tom, (an accomplished
businessman) began to develop a business plan for Clinics of Hope. We soon
realized that we could run our clinics very cost effectively. As a result in May 2004
our first full time clinic was opened.
